Liberty Care Centre was born out of the compassionate need to respond to the desperate plight of orphans and other children made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS who were undergoing untold suffering because of escalating poverty compounded by the devastating effects of the disease. The center is home to children from backgrounds including; orphaned, suffering, and depleted children. The current population of the center is 70 children. It offers the children various kinds of support to enable them to grow up as responsible members of society. The support includes shelter, clothing, food, education, healthcare, and upkeep. The center also provides the children with guardian support and mentorship that befit a typical family setup. Lacking in this center is a consistent water supply that the children and the guardians can farm and raise chicken which they can sell to the community and boost their income. The water will also be sold to the neighboring community as well as for their domestic use.
