Welcome to

Rotary Club of Nairobi Madaraka

The Rotary Club of Nairobi Madaraka was chartered on June 1, 2012, which is also Madaraka Day in Kenya. The name Madaraka came from the concept of self-rule, taking matters into our own hands. We have a membership of 33 people with an average age of 30 majority of whom are ex-Rotaractors, which makes us one of the youngest Rotary clubs in Africa by age. We are young, energetic, and committed to reinvigorating Rotary.

Providing Clean Water

We help bring sustainable clean water, sanitation, and hygiene to more people every day. We don’t just build wells and walk away.

Promoting Peace

Rotary fosters understanding across cultures. We train adults and young leaders to prevent and mediate conflict and help refugees who have fled dangerous areas.

Saving Mothers & Children

We expand access to quality medical care, sanitation, education, and economic opportunities so mothers and their children can live and grow stronger.

Fighting Disease

We expand access to quality medical care, sanitation, education, and economic opportunities so mothers and their children can live and grow stronger.

Protecting the Environment

We are committed to supporting activities that strengthen the conservation and protection of natural resources, advance ecological sustainability, and foster harmony between communities and the environment.

Supporting Education

Our goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase adult literacy.

Growing Local Economies

We carry out service projects that enhance economic and community development and create opportunities for decent and productive work for young and old.

OUR CAUSES

Our projects impact diverse communities from across the country with focus on Water & Sanitation, Basic Education & Literacy, and Growing Local Economies.
